Where is my data stored?
Entirely on your device. Chump Change has no accounts and no servers — nothing you enter ever leaves your phone.
How does Smart Scan work?
Tap Smart Scan on the Home tab, take a photo of a receipt (or choose one from your library), and the app reads items and prices on-device. Your photos are never uploaded.
Does the Vault hold real money?
No. The Vault is a savings tracker — it records your round-ups and goals so you can see your progress. It does not move or hold real funds.
How do I add friends to split with?
Tap "Add friend" on the Home tab, then create an expense and pick who's splitting it.
How do XP and levels work?
Every expense tracked, favor repaid, and round-up saved earns XP. Level up from Bronze to Platinum to unlock perks.
